Small mom and pop labs have opened up in the state which clandestinely produce methamphetamine and supply it in the local circuit.
The part of the population that is most seriously facing the brunt of methamphetamine in Maine is the young population, because the drug is mostly supplied to the nightclubs and the rave parties of the state. This is indeed making the issue more serious, because most of the people under methamphetamine and crystal meth addiction in Maine are youngsters between 18 and 25 years of age.
