This is definitely a frustrating period for the patient, but it is infinitely more frustrating to the family members of the patient who will have to go through the whole rigmarole again.If someone from your family has been into drug rehab before and the need has arisen again now, then you need to first think on some points. The first thing you must think about is whether the earlier drug rehab center did its job well or not. Did it delve on the continuing care aspect of the treatment? Was proper counseling given? Drug addiction treatment is not just about providing medicinal treatment to the patient to overcome the period of detox. It is also about counseling them so as to stay above the addiction. If the earlier drug rehab center did not do all of this, you may need to change the rehab center itself.

The second point you must consider is if there has been a change in the circumstances of the patient. Has the patient gone under depression again? This may have caused the re-addiction. Or probably, the patient has returned back to familiar surroundings. In such case, you must not change the rehab center, but make them know of these changes in situations. The rehab centers will then address issues taking these changes into consideration.
